LIVNLIF Restore™: Post-Surgery Recovery Protocol

I created this protocol after recently having an accident and surgery.

(Here is me on that wonderful day LOL). It is designed to support the body through the critical healing window after surgery by focusing on tissue repair, inflammation balance, lymphatic movement, and nervous system recovery. Healing is not about doing more but it’s about supporting the body in the right way.


Phase 1: Days 1–5 (Stabilize + Protect)

During this phase, the body is actively managing inflammation and beginning tissue repair.

Focus on:

  • Rest and minimal exertion

  • Hydration with electrolytes

  • Warm, easy-to-digest foods. BONE BROTH, BONE BROTH, BONE BROTH!

Support:

  • Higher Protein intake begins

  • Gentle vitamin C support

  • Magnesium at night for nervous system and pain modulation

Avoid:

  • Aggressive supplementation

  • Detox protocols

  • High-dose fish oil or blood-thinning herbs


Phase 2: Days 5–14 (Repair + Rebuild)

This is where you can actively support healing speed and comfort.

Focus on:

  • Increasing protein to at least 80–100g/day

  • Supporting collagen formation

  • Reducing swelling and bruising

  • Encouraging lymphatic flow

Support:

  • Vitamin C (divided doses daily)

  • Zinc (short-term support)

  • Collagen + amino acids

  • Bromelain and/or quercetin for swelling

  • Gentle walking to stimulate circulation

Optional:

  • Lymphatic drainage (only if cleared by surgeon)


I also highly recommend IV therapy. If you have an IV spa near you or call a mobile IV to your home. Direct nutrients are very helpful.


Phase 3: Weeks 2–6 (Remodel + Strengthen)

Now the body shifts into deeper tissue repair.

Focus on:

  • Collagen integrity

  • Scar healing

  • Energy restoration

Support:

  • Continued protein + collagen

  • Anti-inflammatory nutrients (curcumin, omega-3s)

  • Nutrient-dense whole foods

Lifestyle:

  • Gradual return to movement

  • Prioritize sleep (this is when growth hormone supports repair)
