What is GI Map Testing?

GI-MAP Comprehensive Stool Analysis

The GI-MAP (Gastrointestinal Microbial Assay Plus) is an advanced DNA-based stool test that evaluates the health and balance of your gut microbiome. This assessment looks at beneficial bacteria, opportunistic organisms, parasites, yeast, digestive markers, inflammation levels, immune activity (including secretory IgA), and markers of gut barrier integrity. It provides a deeper understanding of how the gastrointestinal system may be influencing symptoms such as bloating, reflux, constipation, diarrhea, skin issues, fatigue, autoimmunity, and immune dysregulation.

This test is completed at home using a simple stool collection kit. Once the laboratory analysis is finalized, you will receive a comprehensive Findings Report prepared by Dr. Pfingsten. The report outlines key patterns, areas of imbalance, and personalized naturopathic recommendations tailored to your results.

A telehealth or in-person follow-up visit is required to review results, answer questions, and discuss next steps. This ensures clarity, safety, and appropriate implementation of your personalized protocol. This consultation visit is included in the fee.
